Mesquite Wood Smoked Salt
Mesquite, a hardwood found throughout Southern America, comes from spiky little bushes and packs a bold, intense flavor. It’s known for producing the most smoke of all smoking woods and is a staple in Texas-style low-and-slow BBQ, especially for briskets. Mesquite also shines in Mexican barbacoa, where deep, smoky flavors reign supreme.
This salt is perfect for beef, lamb, game meats, tacos, burritos, and fajitas. Use it as a crunchy finishing touch, to season slow-cooked meats, anything on the grill, or even for making the smokiest homemade popcorn ever!
Important Care Tips for Your Salt Tins
Salt, metal, and moisture can lead to rust, so try to keep your tin away from humidity and steam – we know it’s tough when it lives next to your cooker! If rust appears, just pour out the salt, clean the tin with lemon juice, and let it dry completely before refilling. You can also line the tin with baking paper for extra protection.
