This is a rare Cotswold fine Gin produced by The Boutique Distillery in Gloucestershire, just 80 – 100 bottles at a time.
New Zealand born Craft Distiller Edward Harper, has over 25 years experience in building unique copper stills responsible for producing some of the finest tasting spirits around. When the warm spirit vapour passes over the 11 responsibly sourced botanicals it lifts the most delicate of notes leading to a gin that at first sip, is bright, fresh and zesty.
It's well thought out with smooth juniper in the front which is accompanied with bright citrussy and light floral notes from the red grapefruit and chamomile. Towards the end, the cardamom comes sneaking in wrapping your mouth in a warm moreish spiciness.
This is a very well crafted complexed and contemporary gin which contains the best ingredients. Edward even fetches his own Malvern Hills spring water to temper his Cotswold fine Gin to a sip-able 45% abv. It's powerful in flavour and yet well rounded and smooth enough to enjoy neat.
Best served with either a slice of red grapefuit, lemon, cucumber or berries.
